23rd Virginia Infantry

Authenticity Guidelines


 

The 23rd Virginia has four sets of impression guidelines.  New members would first acquire the Confederate Military Impression.  This is a general, mid-war impression and we can help you assemble it, or loan it to you.  The Confederate Military Impression can be altered to an early or late war impression primarily by a change to the jacket, hat, and some accoutrements.  The Virginia Volunteer Militia impression consists of unique coat and trousers and some unique accoutrements, most of which can also be used in the early war impression.  While this may seem a bit confusing, it truly is not as advise and sources are readily available.  Members acquire their impressions as their funds allow, and the unit can loan any equipment that is needed.
